Defense attorney F. Lee Bailey says he has personally spoken with Sgt. Max Cordoba, a Black marine who supposedly told Bailey that Det. Mark Fuhrman used a racial slur in his presence. The prosecution has serious doubts about this because Cordoba told them exactly the opposite. Cordoba originally denied ever speaking with Bailey, which set off a flurry of accusations about Bailey in court by Marica Clark. He has since stated that he did indeed speak with Bailey. This is Bailey's reaction in court to the prosecution's claim that Baily had lied about his contact with Cordoba.
